Yves Mettler (bild. Künstler)




(*1976 Morges / CH, lives and works in Berlin and Paris) is a visual artist working on the representation of Europe’s heterogenous and polyphonic urban history, working with local public interventions and sound installations.

In 2001, he graduated from the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Wien, before completing the CCC Program (études critiques curatoriales cybermédias), of Ecole Supérieure d’Arts Visuels (ESAV, now HEAD) in Geneva. His work was exhibited internationally, including solo shows at Kunstmuseum St Gallen (2006), Georg Kargl Box, Vienna (2008), Bawag Contemporary (2009) and group shows at Argos, Brussels (2008), Archilab, Orléans (2008), Kunstmuseum Thun (2009) and Annex14, Bern (2009). Co-editor of the Vienna based art fanzine Chicago, Helvetica, Plotter, etc. www.theselection.net/zeitschrift.
